Educational Philosophy

As an art educator, I believe every student possesses unique creative potential shaped by their individual experiences, cultures, and identities. Grounded in Humanistic Learning, I design experiences that encourage exploration and help students’ potential flourish without limitations. Through Experiential Learning, I guide students to view mistakes as opportunities for reflection and perseverance. Incorporating Social-Emotional Learning, I strive to build an inclusive classroom community centered on empathy, confidence, and self-expression. I apply elements of behaviorism to maintain classroom structure and reinforce positive learning behaviors, while empowering students to become self-directed, reflective, and capable artists. As both a teacher and mentor, I am committed to fostering a supportive environment where all learners feel trusted, respected, and valued as they develop their creative and critical capabilities.
